Where the Shadows Crossed (2026)
Acrylic ink and acrylic on canvas, 60 × 60 × 1.7 cm
Warm ochre, sand and earthy brown move across the surface, interrupted by pale blue and dark gestural marks.
Loose lines, stains and layered forms create a shifting rhythm between openness and density, control and spontaneity.
I worked on this painting intuitively, allowing the ink and paint to move freely and responding to the marks as they appeared.
Rooted in memories of the Mediterranean coast, the work moves away from a specific landscape and towards a freer, more intuitive abstraction.
