Flora & Movement

Plant forms become a starting point for colour, rhythm and movement.

I return to flowers and growing forms for their movement rather than their detail — the way stems rise, bend, overlap and gather across a surface.

As the paintings develop, observation gives way to gesture and abstraction, while traces of the natural world remain.
