When Everything Was Vivid (2026)
Acrylic on canvas, 40 × 40 × 1.7 cm
Vivid turquoise and soft blue move across the painting, contrasted by warm terracotta, ochre and earthy marks.
Layered brushstrokes, fragmented forms and shifting areas of colour create a lively sense of movement across the surface.
I worked on this painting intuitively, allowing colour, gesture and texture to guide the composition as it developed.
Inspired by the intensity of Mediterranean light, water and sun-warmed stone, the work reflects how these colours remain in memory — vivid at first, then fragmented and gradually transformed through abstraction.
