Blue Met The Burning Stone (2026)
Acrylic on canvas, 60 × 80 × 1.7 cm
Soft blues, turquoise and pale stone tones move across the painting, contrasted by warm burnt orange and earthy marks.
Broad brushstrokes and shifting areas of colour create a sense of movement, while forms emerge and dissolve across the surface.
I worked on this painting intuitively, allowing colour, gesture and texture to guide the composition as it developed.
Inspired by the meeting of Mediterranean water and sun-warmed rock, the work reflects how those colours and forms remain in memory — fragmented, shifting and gradually moving towards abstraction.
